What's the difference between a coupon code and a deal?

On our site you will encounter a variety of savings opportunities, which can range from deals, coupon codes, cashback offers, gift card offers and more. But the largest clusters are our deals and coupon code vouchers.

So what are the differences between a deal a coupon code?

Deals are offers found on a retailer's website, which provide a direct discount without the need to apply a code. Think about Amazon Prime Day: most deals found on Amazon that day do not require a Code, but you will still be able to find the best ones on Coupons.com. When you click "Get Deal" you will be taken straight to the retailer's site where you can find the discounted products and continue shopping.

On the other hand, a coupon code is actually a code that needs to be applied at checkout in order to access the discount. The coupon code is available on our site for free and can be copied and pasted directly at checkout. To learn more about coupon codes read our FAQ about "What is a coupon code".
