Add Your Domain
To start sending emails from the Emails & Automations section in CCK, you have to connect your purchased domain to CCK as a verified domain.
Open Emails & Automations ➡ Settings ➡ click the Add Domain button. Enter your purchased domain name eg. yourdomain.com.
Your domain status will show as Pending. Click on the settings icon and show your DNS records as shown below:
You will be provided with 2 DNS records: a TXT and a CNAME record.
You have to add these 2 DNS records to the host which you purchased your domain from.
Click the "Copy" option on the right of each record to quickly copy each record.
📌 IMPORTANT
DNS is provider/company specific. Some providers require an additional "." to be added at the end of the CNAME value.
For example:
Provided CNAME value: client._domainkey.app-sources.com
CNAME value with additional "." at the end: client._domainkey.app-sources.com.
Should your email domain not be verified and authenticated, we recommend adding the "." at the end of the CNAME value and allowing a few hours for the DNS records to propagate.
Add DNS Settings to NameCheap
TXT: for Host, add the Name record "@" and paste the Value record next.
CNAME: for Host add the Name record: "def._domainkey" and paste "client._domainkey.app-sources.com" in the Value field.
Add DNS Settings to GoDaddy
TXT: for Host, add the Name record "@" and paste the Value record next.
CNAME: for Host add the Name record: "def._domainkey" and paste "client._domainkey.app-sources.com" in the Value field.
Add DNS Settings to Google Workspace
Use the help bubble on the right of the page linked above to log a ticket with Google support to help you update your DNS settings.
TXT: for Host, add the Name record "@" and paste the Value record next.
CNAME: for Host add the Name record: "def._domainkey" and paste "client._domainkey.app-sources.com" in the Value field.
Check You Added Your Records Correctly
It might take some time for the DNS records to update after adding them, check again in 30 minutes and in most cases it should be showing as "Verified" in green as shown below:
Important: If your domain is not showing as verified after 30 minutes, you added your DNS records incorrectly. Please log a support ticket with your domain provider (NameCheap or GoDaddy) and ask them to help you to add your DNS records to your domain.
Add Your Email Address to Emails & Automations
Once your domain has been verified and added, you have to add your Brand Details as shown below. Complete all fields.
Important: you can only add email addresses linked to the domain you verified in the previous step here. For example: if you added www.mydomain.com you can only add myname@mydomain.com or support@mydomain.com.
Company Name: Name of your business or your name
Company Address: Business or personal address
Default Sender Name: The name your emails will be sent from
Default Email: The email address used for all of your newsletter, automation or campaign emails
Default System Email: The email address used to send your password reminder or other website system emails
