Connect GoDaddy Domain to CCK
Updated over a week ago
  1. Log into your CCK account and click on Website/Funnel Settings ➡ Domains. Click on Connect An Existing Domain to open the field to enter a domain.

2. Type your domain name into the space shown. Click Connect Domain.

3. After adding the domain a screen with 2 DNS records will show in red as shown below. These are the records you need to add to your domain settings in GoDaddy.

NOTE: Make sure that there aren't any duplicated records as they will result in your domain not being connected. You should only have one A record with @ as Host/Name and only one CNAME record with www as Host/Name.

4. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center.

5. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.

6. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.

7. Select Add to add a new record.

8. Select CNAME from the Type menu options.

9. Enter the details for your new CNAME record:

Name: The hostname or prefix the CNAME record will be set to. You can include a period (.) but not as the first or last character. Consecutive periods (...) are not allowed, and the host cannot exceed 63 characters or be the @ symbol. You can't use a host that's already assigned to an existing A record, TXT record or MX record.

Value: The URL you are setting as the destination for the host. Type @ to point directly to your root domain name.

TTL: How long the server should cache information. The default setting is 1 hour.

10. Select Add Record to save your new CNAME record.

11. Next, add your TXT record. Select TXT from the Type menu options.

12. Enter the details for your TXT record:

Name: The hostname for the record. Type @ to put the TXT record on your root domain, or enter a prefix such as mail.

Value: The text string for the TXT record. This is usually provided by your SSL, hosting or email provider. TXT records have a maximum character limit of 1024 and only UTF-8 characters are supported.

TTL: How long the server should cache information. The default setting is 1 hour.

13. Select Add Record to save your new TXT record.

14. Go back to your CCK account and click on Website/Funnel Settings and then Domains. Click on the setting icon next to your domain and click on toggle DNS Settings.

15. If your domain is connected correctly, you should see the green section below.

16. If you still see a red screen, your settings weren't added correctly. We recommend logging a support ticket directly with GoDaddy and asking them to help you to add these settings. Click here to log a ticket with GoDaddy support.
