Discount Codes
Updated over a week ago

Discount codes can only be applied to single payment products on CCK, not subscription products. If you want a discounted subscription product, you need to create a new subscription product with a discounted rate created for each payment.

A discount code allows you to share a code with your students to allow them to get a percentage, flat rate or free shipping discount for their purchase.

Creating Discount Codes

To create a discount code, navigate to your Store > Discounts > Add Discount

Select the type of discount you want to create.

A flat discount applies a specific amount of discount. Percentage discount applies a percentage and Free Shipping is only relevant to physical products.

Discount Name: The name of the code - only seen by you.

Discount Code: The code your users will need to enter.

Allowed Usages: The number of times in total, this code can be used for all users.

Allow With Other Discounts: Users can use this code with other discount offers.

Apply Automatically: Your product will automatically be discounted on the checkout page - no code will have to be entered

Valid From & Valid To: The dates your code will be valid for use. After these dates, if anyone uses this code, an error will be shown.

Apply Discount For: Orders Over a certain amount, specific member groups, specific categories, selected products (not subscription products)

Testing Discount Codes

To test a discount code, confirm that you have linked the product you want to test to the discount code, next, add the same product to a checkout page.

Make sure that you have allowed discounts under the settings for your checkout page.

Preview your checkout page, add yourself as the test student buying your product and add your discount code in the promo code area. Make sure that the total amount to pay is zero, then check yourself out.

Open your order summary area inside your Store to confirm that the order went through successfully.
