Pipeline, Watchlists, and Liked Agents: What's the Difference?

Here's how to know when it's the right time to use each organizational tool that Courted has to offer.

Written by Mia Matziaris

Courted gives you a few different ways to organize the agents you're recruiting — your recruiting Pipeline, Watchlists, and Liked Agents. Each one serves a distinct purpose, and knowing when to use each will help you stay organized and never miss an important recruiting moment.

Pipeline

Your Pipeline is your master list — think of it like a refrigerator. Every agent you are actively recruiting lives here. An agent will appear in your Pipeline as long as their status is set anywhere between Identified and Recruited. Agents marked as Not Qualified are excluded.

The Pipeline gives you and your team full visibility into who is being engaged and where they stand in the recruitment process. It's your go-to view for tracking all recruitment activity from start to finish.

When to use it: Use the Pipeline when you want a complete, birds-eye view of everyone in your recruiting funnel.

Watchlists

Watchlists are a subset of your Pipeline — they're the individual shelves inside the refrigerator that help you organize agents into focused groups. You might create a Watchlist by region, by production band, by priority level, or by any other criteria that fits your workflow.

Watchlists may also be collaborative, meaning you can share them with teammates and work off them together. Adding an agent to a Watchlist automatically sets their status to Identified, which means they'll also appear in your Pipeline and you'll be able to see activity alerts for them. Agents can belong to multiple Watchlists at the same time, and you can have up to 40 Watchlists in your account.

When to use it: Use Watchlists when you want to break your Pipeline into smaller, focused groups — for example, your top 10 targets for the month, or all agents in a specific territory. This makes it easy to zero in on a specific segment and review their recent milestones without sorting through your entire Pipeline.

Liked Agents

Liked Agents can be where you save agents you're interested in but haven't yet started actively engaging. Clicking the thumbs-up icon next to an agent's name (in a search table or on their profile) adds them to your Liked Agents list and automatically sets their status to Identified.

Think of Liked Agents as your holding area — a place to collect agents on your radar before you're ready to move them into a more structured part of your workflow. Because liking an agent sets their status to Identified, they will also appear in your Pipeline and you will receive alerts for any activity milestones they hit.

When to use it: Use Liked Agents when you're browsing search results and want to quickly flag agents for later without immediately placing them into a specific Watchlist.

Important tip: While liking an agent will update their status to Identified and add them into the recruiting pipeline, it's important that you make sure to also assign that agent to yourself if you're working in a Courted account with multiple users.
