INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Create a new court that appears in both the Member Portal and the Admin Panel.
Use Cases: System users can add courts—or other facility types, such as a pool—for member and/or admin use. Each court record can be customized to meet the specific needs of club managers and members.
PREREQUISITES
Before creating courts, create the court types you will assign to them.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS. A new page displays.
Go to the COURT & RESOURCE SETTINGS heading.
Click the Courts icon.
Creating a Court
To get started, click the Create Court button.
Name Your Court (Required): Full display name of the court (e.g., Pickleball Court #5).
Short Name: Abbreviated version of the court name (e.g., PB5) used in condensed displays. If this field is filled, CourtReserve displays this name on the Member Portal instead of the text in the Name Your Court field.
Court Type (Required): Dropdown to select the court type (e.g., Pickleball, Tennis, Racquetball). Court types must be set up before creating courts.
Is Visible on Member Portal?: Checkbox to determine whether members can view and book this court on the Member Portal. If unchecked, only admins can see it.
Day / Open Time / Close Time / Is Closed: Defines daily availability for the court. Review the default open and close times for each day of the week and customize as required.
Is closed: Checkbox to mark the court as closed for the entire day.
Combo Court(s) (optional): Select courts to link this court to create combo courts. A combo court can be utilized as different spaces—for example, Pickleball Courts 1 and 2 combine as Tennis Court 1. Booking one automatically blocks the linked courts.
Eligible for Court Waitlist: Checkbox to allow this court to be included in the waitlist feature if enabled.
When finished, click Save changes.
Sorting the Courts
Optionally, system users can change the display order of courts on the scheduler.
Click the Other Court Actions button and select Sort Courts.
Click a court row, drag it to a new location, and then click Save Changes.
USER PERSPECTIVE
CourtReserve displays court name information on the Member Portal scheduler:
The court name (or the short name, if provided) appears on the scheduler.
The court type appears below the name if that option is enabled. Note: To hide court types on the Member Portal, go to ORGANIZATION SETTINGS > General and check the Hide Court Types on Schedulers option.
