Guide to setting up your SafeSave terminal Ingenico Lane 7000 in CourtReserve

The Ingenico 7000 Cloud is a high-performance, countertop point-of-sale (POS) device designed for businesses that require speed, flexibility, and reliability in their transaction processing. It supports both Ethernet and WiFi connectivity, providing flexible installation options for various physical layouts—whether it’s a front desk, pro shop, or cafe setting. Its larger screen and keypad, along with a faster processor, offer a smooth, responsive user experience even under high transaction volumes.

The Ingenico 7000 supports multiple payment methods—including contactless (tap-to-pay), chip (EMV), magnetic stripe (swipe), and manual keyed entries—all from a single terminal. It is compliant with PCI-PTS 5.x and 6.x standards, ensuring robust security for sensitive payment data.​


SETUP

Follow these steps to set up your Ingenico Lane 7000 Cloud Device for use with CourtReserve and SafeSave Payment Services.


Included Cables

Your device package includes:

  1. Power Cable – Plugs into a standard wall outlet.

  2. Main Connection Cable – Plugs into to the bottom of the device and splits into:

    • An Ethernet connector (for wired internet connection)

    • A Power input (where the power cable connects)


Initial Power-Up

  1. Plug in the main connection cable to the device.

  2. Connect the power cable into the splitter and plug it into a power outlet.

  3. Once powered, the device will boot up automatically.

  4. After booting, the screen will display: “Disconnected.”


Accessing Device Settings

To enter the device’s settings menu:

  • On the Disconnected screen, type: 0001

  • This opens the Settings menu.


Wi-Fi Setup

1. Select Wi-Fi Communication

  • From the Settings menu, choose: Communication Type.

  • Press the green circle on the touchscreen to confirm.

  • Ensure Wi-Fi is selected:

    • If it's not highlighted, use the arrow buttons to highlight Wi-Fi and press the green circle to select.

    • Select Yes if prompted to reboot.

    • If Wi-Fi is already selected, press the red X to exit.

    • If needed, re-enter the Settings menu by typing 0001 again.

2. Connect to Wi-Fi Network

  • Navigate to: Option 3 – Wi-Fi Parameters.

  • Select: Option 2 – Scan Networks.

  • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.

  • Enter the Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keypad.

3. Confirm Connection

  • Return to the Wi-Fi Parameters screen.

  • Select My Networks.

  • A label stating “Connected” should appear next to your network.

4. Reboot the Device

  • Hold both the # (pound) key and the yellow key at the same time.

  • Release when the reboot message appears.

5. Post-Reboot Screen

After reboot, the screen should display:

  • A series of numbers with "Unregistered" below and a registration code underneath – this is the code to enter in CourtReserve.


Ethernet Setup

1. Connect Ethernet

  • You have two options:

    • Use the split Ethernet connector from the main cable and connect to your router.

    • Use a separate Ethernet cable connected to the side port on the device.

2. Set Communication Type

  • On the “Disconnected” screen, type: 0001.

  • Select Communication Type.

  • Use arrow keys to highlight Ethernet.

  • Press the green circle to confirm.

  • Reboot if prompted.

3. Post-Reboot Screen

After reboot, the screen should display:

  • A series of numbers with "Unregistered" below and a registration code underneath – this is the code to enter in CourtReserve.


Configuring the Terminal to CourtReserve

In CourtReserve, navigate to SETTINGS > go to the BILLINGS SETTINGS row > click the Integrated Payments icon.

Scroll down to the Terminals sections and click Add Terminal.

Fill out the Name (what you want the device to be called) and Code (this is the 6 digit code displayed on the card reader) fields. Click Save.
