INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: The Lobby View widget allows organizations to create a real-time court schedule display for public areas, lobbies, or viewing monitors. Customize how the schedule appears to fit your facility's layout, privacy preferences, and audience. Options include how much detail to show, which courts to include, and whether to show event or reservation notes.

Use Cases:

  • Display today's full court schedule on a Smart TV in your lobby.

  • Hide player names for privacy while still showing open vs. reserved time.

  • Highlight special events alongside normal reservations.

  • Show only certain courts (e.g. main courts or tournament play courts).

  • Use short court names for a clean, easy-to-read monitor display.

Create a Lobby View Widget

Click the green Create Widget button to get started.

  • Widget Type: Defaults to Lobby View.

  • Name: The internal name for the widget. Helps identify and organize your widgets inside the admin portal.

  • Filter Calendar by Categories: Allows you to filter the calendar display by event categories or event filters, showing only selected types of events.

  • Hide Title Bar: Option to remove the widget’s title bar entirely from the display on your website.

  • Title Bar Label: The text that will display on the title bar.

  • Main Background Color: Sets the background color for the entire widget display area.

  • Title Bar Background Color: Sets the background color for the widget’s title bar.

  • Title Bar Font Color: Sets the font color of the text displayed in the title bar.

  • Scheduler Type (Expanded / Consolidated): Choose how courts are displayed. Expanded shows each court on its own row and Consolidated groups multiple courts of the same court type together to fit more on the screen. If Consolidated is selected, you cannot display specific courts. See examples below.

  • Show Horizontal Scrolling: Allow horizontal scrolling if your schedule extends beyond the screen width (useful for clubs with many (10+) courts).

  • Filter Courts: Select which courts to include in the Lobby View. Leave as ALL to display every court, or pick specific courts to show only part of your facility.

  • Hide Reservation Details: When checked, reservation titles/details are hidden and the block will say "Reserved." See example below.

  • Show Reservation/Event Notes: When enabled, notes attached to reservations or events will be displayed directly on the schedule.

  • Show Events: Display scheduled events to the right of the schedule (see example below).

    • If Show Events is checked, choose which events to display in the widget based on date, and optionally filter which events to display based on assigned event categories.

  • Use Court Short Names: Show the short names (abbreviations) of courts instead of their full names to save space on the schedule display

  • Custom CSS: Optional field where custom CSS styling can be applied to further customize the widget’s appearance. Learn more here.

  • Test Your Widget (Link): Provides a direct link to preview and test how the widget will display live.

  • Widget Code: Auto-generates the embeddable code that can be copied and inserted into your website to activate the widget.

  • Copy Widget Code (Button): Quick button to copy the full embed code to your clipboard for easy website placement.
