INTRODUCTION

Connect your CourtReserve account with PlaySight’s AI-powered camera system to make capturing court time effortless. With the integration enabled, players simply show up, confirm their court, set the session length, and—if eligible based on subscription—select a recording type. PlaySight then handles the rest automatically.

PREREQUISITES

Before setting up the PlaySight integration, ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • Submit a Sales Request: To get started with PlaySight, click here to fill out our Sales Request Form. Once submitted, your request will be sent to PlaySight, and their sales team will contact you.

  • Required Disclosure: Please reach out to the CourtReserve Support team to obtain the liability waiver you will be required to review and sign in order to enable PlaySight for your organization. You can email support@courtreserve.com.

  • Revenue Category: To track your PlaySight revenue, create a new Revenue Category.

Pricing

Integration costs depend on your subscription plan:

  • Launch: $25/month

  • Advance, Momentum: Included

  • Enterprise: Included

Organizations will be responsible for the CourtReserve integration’s monthly fee, along with any additional charges from PlaySight.

Note: This integration is not available for customers in Trial mode.

Setting Up the PlaySight Integration

  1. Navigate to Settings on the sidebar.

  2. Scroll to the bottom row under Additional Features (Add-Ons).

  3. Locate the Video Recording Integration feature, check to enable it, and click Setup.

PlaySight Integration Setup Page

To get started, contact PlaySight to obtain your Username, Password, and Facility Id. The Username and Password is the credentials from the PlaySight portal login. The Facility ID will be provided by PlaySight during the onboarding process with them.

Once you’ve added your credentials, click Discovery to sync courts from PlaySight into CourtReserve.

The Activity Type defines the level of PlaySight functionality available on a court once it is mapped to CourtReserve. In PlaySight, some courts are configured for Recording + AI Highlights, while others are set up for Recording Only. This setting determines what players can access during play.

  1. Recording + AI Highlights: The court is configured to capture full video recordings of matches and generate AI-powered highlights and statistics.

  2. Recording: The court captures video recordings only, without AI-generated highlights or advanced statistics.

Map the CourtReserve Court to the PlaySight Court.

After the sync is complete, click Edit next to each PlaySight court you want to enable for recording. In the edit screen, map each CourtReserve court to its corresponding PlaySight court.

After at least one CourtReserve court is mapped to a PlaySight court, you can enable the Eligible to Opt-In for Recording on Portal/App field. This allows players to access PlaySight through their mobile app.

Show to Following Membership(s): Select the memberships that should have access to the PlaySight integration within CourtReserve. If no memberships are selected, all memberships will have access to PlaySight functionality.

Recording Costs

Once enabled, organizations can set up Recording Costs. From the PlaySight Setup page, click the Update Recording Costs link. This page is also accessible via SETTINGS > BOOKING SETTINGS > Costs.

In the RECORDING COSTS section, set pricing for PlaySight recordings based on membership type. Be sure to configure a recording cost for each membership type to ensure proper access and billing.

Recording Calculation Type:

If Hourly is selected, the recording cost is multiplied by the number of hours chosen for the session.

  • Logic: Total Cost = Hourly Rate × Recording Duration (in hours)

  • Example: A member with a rate of $8/hour has a 2-hour recording session.
    Total charge: $16

If Fixed is selected, the member is charged a flat fee per recording session, regardless of its duration.

  • Logic: Total Cost = Fixed Rate

  • Example: A member with a $10 fixed rate has a 3-hour recording session.
    Total charge: $10

Next, on the PlaySight Integration Setup screen, determine whether a Tax Rate and Revenue Category should be applied to recording fees.

Finally, on the PlaySight Integration Setup screen, define Recording Restrictions to control when and where players can start recordings.

Recording Restrictions - Choose between three options:

  1. No Restrictions: Players can start a recording on any court(s) at any time.

  2. Booked Courts Only: Players can only start a recording on their booked court(s), beginning two hours before their booking or registration.

  3. Booked Courts Only, After Check-In: Players can only start a recording on their booked court(s) after checking in at the club or facility.

After clicking Save on this page, players will be able to start recording from their CourtReserve mobile app.

PlaySight Player Refunds

Important: PlaySight refunds are not part of the auto-refund or pending refund processing in CourtReserve. If a player requests a refund for their PlaySight transaction, it must be processed directly from the player’s Transactions page.

  • Select your Player/Member.

  • Navigate to Billing > Transactions > All Transactions.

  • The PlaySight transactions will have a Transaction Type of Misc. Fee and be listed as PlaySight Recording.

  • Locate the transaction to be refunded and click the Refund Payment icon on the far right of the transaction row.

  • The Refund screen will open—proceed with your preferred refund method as usual and Save.

USER PERSPECTIVE - Mobile App

On the CourtReserve app, players will find a PlaySight row located below My Bookings. To begin, they tap Record My Session.

Players will start on the Start Recording tab, where they will select:

  • Court(s): The court(s) they want to record.

  • Duration: The length of the recording—players can choose 1 or 2 hours.

  • In PlaySight, some courts support Recording + AI Highlights, while others allow only Recording.

    • To use Recording + AI Highlights, players must have an active PlaySight AI Highlights subscription. If not subscribed, they will see a Subscribe for AI Highlights button on the Start Recording page. This button links directly to PlaySight’s subscription payment screen. Once payment is completed, the player can select Recording + AI Highlights as a recording type. This subscription step is only required for players who do not have an active AI Highlights plan and wish to use the functionality.

    • Only courts configured for AI Highlights will display the recording options. Courts without this feature will not show the recording type selection since the only option for players is Recording only.

If the selected court does not support Recording + AI Highlights, the functionally is Recording Only, and players will not see recording type options.

After a player fills in the required fields and clicks Confirm, their recording will begin. A card will appear, displaying the time remaining for each court's recording. If the player needs to manually end the recording, they can tap the Stop icon.

If the player wants to start recording on additional courts, they can tap Start Another Recording. This page will mirror the Start Recording page, but only courts not currently being recorded on their account will be available for selection.

After a player has ended their recording(s), they can manage them on the My Recording(s) tab. Once a recording has been processed, a thumbnail preview of the video will appear (left screenshot). If the recording is still being processed, a placeholder thumbnail will be displayed instead (right screenshot).

Audit Log

Players' recordings will be tracked in the audit log under the Recording entity type. From the audit log, system users can view all recordings that were started and any recordings that were manually ended.
