INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: The CourtReserve public booking flow makes it easy for players to book reservations directly from a mobile or browser friendly experience—without needing to download an app or log in. Players are guided step by step through selecting a reservation, entering their details, confirming payment, and accessing their reservation information all in one streamlined flow.
Why Players Love This Feature
From a player’s perspective, the public booking flow:
Is fast and easy to use, with availability shown up front and only a few steps to complete a booking.
Does not require creating an account or logging in.
Works smoothly on both mobile devices and desktop browsers.
Does not require downloading an app.
Makes check-in quick and convenient with a QR code (if enabled by the club).
Makes it easy to share booking details with friends using the Share button, or quickly book another reservation or event using the Book Again button.
PREREQUISITES
Clubs must have the Public Bookings feature enabled and properly configured in their settings. Once enabled, clubs can share their public booking link with players.

OVERVIEW
From the player’s perspective, the booking process follows a clear, guided path:
Review available reservation options and make selections.
Enter personal information and any included custom fields.
Verify their phone number using a one-time security code sent via text.
Confirm and complete payment.
View the reservation confirmation, including reservation details, check-in information, receipt, and any custom content provided by the club.
Each step is designed for a user-friendly experience and clearly indicates progress throughout the booking flow.
Step-by-Step: Booking a Reservation
Note: the examples below illustrate the booking flow from a mobile phone.
Let's get started
When players first enter the Public Booking Flow, they are taken to the Let’s get started page. From there, they may see an Experience section, depending on the club's configuration.
The Experience section appears only when the linked membership type includes more than one custom scheduler. This gives players a choice between different booking experiences—such as Tennis Courts or Pickleball Courts, as shown in the example.
If the linked membership type has zero or one custom scheduler, the Experience section does not display, since there is no selection for the player to make.
Next, player's will select a Court Type and Reservation Type. These selections determine the options that follow, such as the Number of Players and reservation Duration.
Lastly on this page, players can view available Dates and Times for booking. After selecting a date, available time slots are grouped by Morning, Afternoon, and Evening to make it easy to find a convenient option.
After selecting a date and time, a Reserve button appears, along with the price and a summary of the player’s final selections displayed above it.
Personal Information
After clicking Reserve, players are prompted to enter their personal information. By default, First name, Last name, and Phone number are required and an Email field is always included.
If any custom fields are associated with the reservation, players will be prompted to complete them below the Email field under Additional information, as shown in the example here.
A red asterisk indicates a required field.
After the player clicks Continue, a one-time verification code is sent via text message to confirm the number. The player enters this code to continue and finalize the booking.
Note: Player didn't receive text? In rare cases, players may receive the text verification code in their text spam folder, depending on their device or carrier settings. See here to learn more about troubleshooting missing text messages.
Payment Information
Next, players are prompted to enter their credit card information. The reservation is held for 15 minutes after phone number verification to allow payment to be completed; if payment is not submitted within the listed time, the booking is automatically canceled.
On the payment screen, players can review key booking details before completing their reservation. This includes Cancellation information and a clear Cost summary showing the subtotal, any applicable fees, and the Total due. Players are informed that by continuing, they agree to the Terms and Conditions before submitting payment to finalize the booking.
Reservation Confirmation
After payment is successfully completed, players are shown a Reservation Confirmed screen. This page provides a confirmation status of the booking along with key reservation details, including the reservation type, date and time, duration, assigned court, and number of players.
Below the reservation details, players can view their Player information and Payment information. This section confirms the name, phone number, email, and any custom fields used for the booking, along with a payment summary showing the total amount paid, the card used (masked for security), and the date and time the payment was processed. This provides players with a clear record of their booking and payment details in one place.
Next, players can access their check-in code, displayed as a QR code that can be shown at the facility if check-in is required. Below this, players will see Location information for the club, including a map, address, and phone number, along with quick-action buttons to get directions or call the facility. From this section, players can also easily book another reservation or share their reservation details.
Finally, at the bottom of the confirmation page, players will see an Additional information section. This section includes the receipt and any custom content the club has added. Players will also see cancellation options based on the club’s settings, along with Book Again and Share buttons.
Selecting Book Again returns the player to the start of the booking flow, while Share provides a link that can be copied and shared with friends. The shared link displays the player’s reservation confirmation details.
Side Navigation Menu
From the home page of the public booking flow, players can open the side menu to navigate to Reserve for booking reservations or Explore Activities to view the club’s list of events.Clubs can choose to display either option—or both—when configuring Public Bookings. The side menu also displays the club’s address, phone number, and hours of operation, as well as a Log In button if the club has enabled it.
