INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Manage notifications settings for system users.

  • Use Cases: System users can review notification options and configure global settings for system users, sub-admin, instructors, and coordinators. System users can also configure notification settings at the individual level.

PREREQUISITES

Email notifications are enabled by default. Text and Push notifications are optional paid add-ons. To enable Text and Push notifications, go to SETTINGS > ADD-ONS and click the Manage Add-Ons icon.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

Configuring global settings

Follow these steps to configure global system user settings for email, text, and push notifications.

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS on the side menu.

  3. Click the System User icon.

On the next page, click the System User Notifications tab.

The table shows three types of notifications: Email, Text, and Push. In the above screenshot, Text and Push are not enabled.

Each type of notification has two columns: Active and Subscribed.

  • If Active is checked, CourtReserve generates the notification when the appropriate trigger fires. A system user can opt in or opt out of this notification. The default setting for all users is Subscribed.

  • If Active is not checked, CourtReserve does not generate this notification, and system users cannot opt-in.

Configuring user settings

System users can configure notification settings at the user level for sub-admins, instructors, and coordinators.

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click SETTINGS > ORGANIZATION SETTINGS on the side menu.

  3. Click the System Users icon.

On the next page, select a tab. Locate a user name and click the Edit button.

On the next page, click the Notifications tab. Use the boxes to configure settings for the user.

  • If the box is checked, CourtReserve subscribes the user to the notification.

  • If the box is unchecked, CourtReserve does not send this user the notification.

What's next?

  1. Enable Push Notifications
