Control What Players See in the Member Portal

INTRODUCTION

Use Cases: System users can enable or disable access to platform features—such as events, waitlists, and leagues—to tailor the portal experience for their members.

OVERVIEW

The Member Portal Navigation settings allow system users to control which features and links are visible to players within the portal. By enabling or hiding specific options, you can tailor the experience to match your club’s offerings—simplifying navigation, reducing confusion, and ensuring players only see the features that are relevant to them.

Note: The settings below control key elements of the Member Portal navigation. Additional navigation items—such as Memberships, Lessons (i.e. Book a Pro), Groups, News, and Event Filters—are controlled through the individual display settings for each feature.


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click SETTINGS > PORTAL SETTINGS > Website icon.

  3. On the next page, click the Navigation tab.

The left side of the page shows standard settings (e.g. Hide Event List, Hide Events Calendar, etc.). Each setting is unchecked for all membership types by default (i.e. each feature is visible on the member portal by default).

System users can check a box to hide a feature for all members or check a box to disable the feature at the membership type level.


Navigation Options

  • Hide Event List: If not checked, the Event List view will be visible to players in the Member Portal.

  • Hide Events Calendar: If not checked, the Events Calendar view will be a visible option to players.

  • Hide My Account My Events: If not checked, players can view their registered events under My Events. Here, they can use the available filters to search and review their event bookings.

  • Hide My Account Waitlist: If not checked, players can view and manage their waitlisted events under My Waitlisted Events.

  • Hide My Account Event Alerts: If not checked, members get alerts when a system user creates a new event or event type.

  • Hide My Account Family Members Link: If not checked, players with a Family membership type can add new members to their own Family account via the member portal under My Family > Add New Family Member button.

  • Hide My Account Membership Link: If not checked, players can change their membership type or cancel their membership on the member portal based on your settings using the My Membership link.

  • Hide My Account Transaction Link: If not checked, players can view their transaction history and payment activity. If your organization does not use payments or a payment integration in CourtReserve, this can be checked to hide these features.

  • Hide My Account Payment Profile Link: If not checked, players can manage their saved payment methods via the Payment Profiles link.


Changing the Book a Court Menu Link

At the bottom of the Navigation page, system users can customize the Book Court text shown in the navigation. The default is Book a Court, but you can enter new text to update it—for example, changing it to Book Courts.


USER PERSPECTIVE

Based on your settings, players can click their account name in the Member Portal to access a dropdown menu with options such as My Family and Billing. The Events menu in the top navigation will display a List and/or Calendar view, depending on your configuration.

Additional navigation items—such as Memberships, Lessons (i.e. Book a Pro), Groups, News, and Event Filters—are controlled through the individual display settings for each feature.
