INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: Players can use a self-service kiosk to quickly and easily check in for reservations, lessons, or events—without staff assistance.

Use Cases: Club managers can streamline the check-in process by setting up one or more kiosks throughout the facility. These kiosks allow players to check in independently, reducing front desk traffic and improving efficiency. Kiosks can be configured on iPads, tablets, or desktop computers, depending on the club’s needs and space.

PREREQUISITES

  • One or more kiosks should already be set up in your facility. A kiosk is a self-service, browser-based terminal that allows players to complete specific tasks—such as check-ins—without staff assistance. There are several customizable settings available, as outlined here.

  • Players need the CourtReserve app installed on their mobile devices (Apple or Android).

OVERVIEW

Players open the CourtReserve app and tap the barcode icon on the right side of the screen to access their QR code and player number.

If a player is part of a family account in CourtReserve, they must select the specific family member they are checking in as.

Example: A player checking in will see their own name listed first, followed by the name of their family member on the account.

CourtReserve displays both a QR code and a player number for easy check-in.

On the kiosk home screen, the user selects Check-In.

In this example, the Club is using the kiosk for both Reservations and Check-Ins.

On the following screen, the player can scan their barcode—if the club has enabled this feature. If scanning is not available, the player can manually enter their player number using the on-screen keyboard.

The kiosk screen displays a success message upon check-in. The specific message shown depends on various system settings. In this example, because the player had no upcoming reservations, a generic confirmation message was displayed.

Example: A player checking in with an upcoming reservation will see a confirmation screen displaying the key details of their reservation.

If a player has back-to-back reservations, the check-in screen can be configured to display all upcoming bookings in sequence.
