INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Club administrators can easily change or update a player's membership directly from the Admin Panel. This allows for seamless transitions between membership types — such as upgrading a player from a free membership to a paid premium membership — without the player needing to take action themselves. Updates can be applied immediately or scheduled to take effect on a future date.
This flexibility helps clubs manage membership transitions efficiently while ensuring players retain uninterrupted access to benefits.
Use Cases:
A player currently has a free membership and wants to upgrade to a paid premium membership starting next month.
A club admin needs to downgrade a player’s membership (e.g., from premium to free) effective at a future date.
An admin wants to extend or modify a player’s existing membership term.
A player signs up for one membership, but later qualifies for or requests a different membership type.
Managing promotional membership upgrades that take effect after a trial period.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click MEMBERS > SEARCH on the side menu.
Search for a player's name.
Open the player profile.
On the player profile page, click the Membership tab and then click the Change/Pre-Purchase Membership button.
In the popup window, choose a plan and set the payment terms. Use the calendar icons to set the future start date for the plan and next payment. Click Assign Membership.
If the system user needs to create a prorated membership for the first month until the Next Payment Date, then click the Create Billing Cycle between START DATE and NEXT PAYMENT DATE box.
CourtReserve updates information on the Billing Details page. In the screenshot below, the page shows the current plan continues until the end of December, and the new plan starts on January 1.
Cancelling a Pre-Purchased Membership
System users can cancel a pre-purchased membership before it starts.
Open the player profile page and click the Membership tab.
Go to the Upcoming Membership line and click the link.
On the popup window, click the Cancel Membership button. In the confirmation popup, add a reason (optional) and click Cancel Membership.
CourtReserve shows the current plan on the Billing Details page and removes information about the pre-purchased membership.
