Setting Up Point of Sale

Start Tracking Sales

INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: Enable the Point of Sale (POS) feature.

Use Cases: Use this feature to track sales from the front desk, pro shop, restaurant, and more. System users can also use POS to manage inventory and generate reports that break down sales by category and item.


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Navigate to SETTINGS > ADDITIONAL FEATURES row.

  3. Click Additional Features. A new page displays.

Note: For clubs on Legacy pricing, the Additional Features row and icon will be labeled Add-Ons > Manage Add-ons.

Open the Setup Page

  1. Scroll down to the Financial Features > Point of Sale heading.

  2. Check the box.

  3. Read the terms in the popup window and click I Agree to proceed.

  4. Click the Setup button. A setup page opens in a new browser tab.

Note: A new browser tab opens with the Point of Sale module, along with the following features:

  1. Launch POS - Opens the point-of-sale screen for processing in-person sales.

  2. Items - Manage the products sold through the point of sale, including:

  3. Reports - Run reporting specific to point-of-sale activity. Learn more: Overview: POS Reports

  4. Sales - View a log of individual point-of-sale transactions.

  5. Settings - Configure point-of-sale behavior, including:

    • Hide Qty-on-Hand on Point of Sale Screen - Hides the available quantity for each item on the point-of-sale screen. The default setting is checked.

    • Do Not Allow Suspended or Inactive Members to Charge POS Items - Prevents suspended or inactive members from charging point-of-sale items to their account. The default setting is not checked. Learn more: POS: Restricting Charges for Inactive Members

    • Allowed Payment Types - Select which payment methods system users can accept at the point of sale, such as credit card swipe/manual, charge to account, cash, check, or gift card.

    • Discount % - Create and manage discount buttons (for example, a 10% Staff Discount) available for use at the point of sale.

CourtReserve also adds a POINT OF SALE link to the side menu.
