Manage the Drag and Release Feature for Each System User

INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: Enable or disable the scheduler's drag-and-drop feature.

Use Cases: By default, CourtReserve enables the drag-and-drop feature for each system user. Disable the feature if a user accidentally moves reservations, lessons, or events or unintentionally adjusts start/end times on the scheduler.


OVERVIEW

On the CourtReserve Schedulers, admins and sub-admins with the proper permissions can quickly adjust bookings using the drag-and-drop feature. This convenient tool lets you click on an existing booking and drag it to a different time block or court on the scheduler. When dropped, the booking’s time and court update automatically—saving time and reducing the need for manual edits. If you’d prefer not to give certain system users access to this functionality—perhaps to avoid accidental changes or errors—you can easily disable it from the System Users page. Follow the steps below to turn this feature off for select users.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > ORGANIZATION SETTINGS.

  3. Click the System Users icon.


On the System Users page:

  1. Click a tab (e.g. Admins, Sub-Admins, etc.).

  2. Locate a user.

  3. Click the Edit button.

On the next page, scroll to the Disable Drag & Drop on Court Schedulers section. Check the box to turn off this feature for the selected user, then click Save Changes. Repeat these steps for each user you’d like to restrict from using drag-and-drop.
