Stringing Setup

The Stringing feature provides a work order system for stringing racquets. The feature allows organizations to designate system users who can string racquets (referred to here forward as "stringers"), build inventory of strings, store typical stringing configurations, save stringing preferences, create work orders for stringing, allow stringers to claim outstanding tickets, complete tickets, and accept payment.

The first step is to enable the additional feature.

Note: For clubs on Legacy pricing, the Additional Features row and icon will be labeled Add-Ons > Manage Add-ons.

Open the Setup page

Choose the Weight Measurement to use for string tension. The options are pounds (lbs) and/or kilograms (kg). Days in Advance to Request sets the default and the minimum number of days for a stringing request to be complete. The stringing request can never have a shorter completion date than this setting. Allow Members/Players to View Stringing History on Member Portal, gives Members/Players permission to see their stringing requests and status inside their account. See Figure Below.

Job status options can be edited here. There are 5 preloaded job statuses. Each one can be edited and PICKED-UP can be disabled. At this time no other job statuses can be added.

Pre-stretching can be added as an option to add to stringing jobs.

Three default stringing patterns are present. Stringing patterns can be edited or deleted. Stringing patterns can also be created by clicking Create Pattern.

Stringing gauges can be enabled, but not edited. ​

String manufacturers can be added through the Create Manufacturer button. Manufacturers can be imported if POS is enabled and stringing manufacturers have been created inside the POS (this is only if your organization has been using the CourtReserve POS system for stringing). To add or import a manufacturer, click Create Manufacturer.

String Inventory can be added in the same manner as String Manufacturer. Items can be created or imported from existing CourtReserve POS items using the tabs after clicking Create Item. Items in the String Inventory can have variations added and stock can be tracked if desired. Stock On-Hand can be adjusted from the item edit screen.

Any people in your organization can be added as stringers using the Create Stringer button. System Users can be added through the import tab and stringers who are not system users can be added as stringers without system user access.
