Notification Preferences Setup Overview
On the Notification Preferences Setup screen, you’ll find three tabs that correspond to different types of communication: Player, System User, and Push. Enabling Push Notifications activates all available notification types.
You can access this screen by clicking the Setup button as described above or navigating to: SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS.
Note: The first time a player opens the CourtReserve mobile app, they’ll be prompted to allow push notifications.
Tab 1: Player Notifications
This tab manages notifications sent to members/players.
Active: When checked, the system will generate the notification. Members can opt in or out from their portal settings.
Subscribed: Members are subscribed by default. They can manage their preferences under Notification Settings in the Member Portal.
Tab 2: System User Notifications
This tab controls notifications sent to admins, sub-admins, instructors, and other system users.
Active: When enabled, the notification will be sent. Users can opt in or out individually.
Subscribed: System users are subscribed by default. They can manage preferences in the Notifications tab of their Admin or Sub-Admin profile.
Tab 3: Push Notifications
In this tab, your organization can upload a square logo that will appear on all push notifications.
If the uploaded logo is not square, the system will prompt you to crop it during upload.
This logo helps maintain consistent brand visibility across all notifications.
Example:
Bulk Push Notifications
Send notifications in bulk to Members/Users that have the CourtReserve app.
Send a Bulk Push Notification
On the left side navigation, click MEMBERS.
Click BULK PUSH.
Create your Message:
Title: The title defaults to your organization's name but can be edited to include a short, attention-grabbing message. It appears as the first line of the push notification.
Message: This is the second line of the notification and should briefly explain what the alert is about. Keep it short and direct. If left blank, the content from the "Additional Content" field will display when the notification is opened.
Additional Content (Optional): This section displays when a user taps to open the push notification. Use it to provide more context or details. If no content is entered, the system will display the same text as the Message text.
Preview & Select Recipients
On the next screen, you'll see a preview of your push notification message.
Use the search filters to find and select the members you'd like to send the message to. Important Notes:
Only members who have opted in to receive notifications and have enabled them on their device will appear in the recipient list.
Users currently logged into any device associated with your organization will appear—even if they're currently active in a different organization—because push notifications are tied to the device ID.
Use the various filters to narrow down who should receive the notification and click Filter Players. A grid will display the results. Once you've selected your recipients by checking the Send checkbox(es), click Send to deliver your message.
After sending, you can review your notification details and check the delivery status.
To view past messages, click the Push Notification History button to review your previous Bulk Push notifications.
USER PERSPECTIVE
Logged-in users will receive push notifications on their device’s lock screen, depending on their personal notification settings.
Tapping the notification will open the CourtReserve app and display the message content.
Users can also tap the Notifications button at the bottom of the app to view a full list of past notifications.
Audit Log
In your organization's Notifications Audit Log, there is a dedicated column for Push Notifications that displays their delivery status. When you click Details, you'll see the content of the push notification along with a confirmation of how many devices it was successfully delivered to.
Re-Enabling Push Notifications
If System Users (Admins, Sub-Admins, & Instructors) or Members have disabled Push Notifications, but would like to enable them, please check the following places to confirm notifications are enabled.
From the user's device, visit the Notification Center settings located in the CourtReserve app. The location of Notification Settings may vary by device.
