Setting up a Stripe terminal integration is a four-step process:
PREREQUISITES
The club must have a Stripe merchant account.
SUPPORTED TERMINALS
Stripe and CourtReserve collaboratively function with two options for card present terminals; the BBPOS WisePOS™ E and Stripe Reader 2700. These devices should be purchased directly through Stripe.
BBPOS WisePOS™ E
The BBPOS WisePOS™ E is a compact and cost-effective payment terminal with a 5.5” touchscreen, supporting EMV chip, contactless card/digital wallet, and magstripe transactions. It features Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, a simple, user-friendly interface, and seamless Stripe integration, making it a reliable choice for businesses seeking an easy-to-use card reader.
Stripe Reader S700
The Stripe Reader S700 is a smart Android-based payment terminal with a 5.5” touchscreen that supports EMV chip, contactless card/digital wallet, and magstripe payments. It offers customizable on-device UI, multiple connectivity options (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth), and extended battery life, making it ideal for businesses needing a flexible and branded checkout experience.
Note: Both the Stripe S700 and BBPOS WisePOS™ E support tap-to-pay transactions using Apple Pay and Google Wallet. These terminals are compatible with contactless card and digital wallet payments.
Default Admin Pin
Stripe sets a default Admin Pin for all terminal readers. This pin is 07139.
TERMINAL SETUP
Purchasing a terminal
Click Here to open the Stripe hardware store and buy the card reader.
Login to your Stripe merchant account
Click the Payments menu tab and then select Terminal.
In the CARD READERS section, select the BBPOS WisePOS™ E or Stripe Reader S700.
Add the reader quantity to your cart and then click the Cart icon.
In the popup, click the Check out button. On the next page, fill in the order form to complete the purchase and ship the terminal.
SUPPORTED DEVICES
Currently, the BBPOS WisePOS E and the Stripe Reader S700 are the only Stripe Terminals supported by CourtReserve.
Adding the terminal to your Stripe account
After the club receives the terminal, insert the battery (BBPOS Wise E) and turn the device on (the kit includes a charger). The initial setup of the device should walk you through the below setup (Connecting to Wifi generating a pairing code), but if not look to #4 to generate your paring code.
Follow the card reader's on-screen instructions to connect the device to the WiFi/Ethernet. Once connected, the device looks for and installs updates, if available.
Next, the card reader enters Setup Mode. The screen displays a key to connect the card reader to the system user's Stripe account through the Stripe dashboard.
The simplest way to register your reader is to add it in the Dashboard. Login to your Stripe Account.
If you already created a Location, click it. Otherwise, create one by clicking + New.
Under the Readers section, tap New.
Go to the device settings page and Generate Pairing Code.

Enter the code when prompted.
Connecting to CourtReserve
Log in to the club's CourtReserve account.
Go to SETTINGS > BILLING SETTINGS.
Click the Integrated Payments icon.
Scroll down the page and locate the Terminals table.
Click the Discovery button.
CourtReserve automatically adds the card reader to the table.
TRANSACTION PROCESSING
Important
Once the system user links the terminal to the club's Stripe and CourtReserve accounts, payments are active. If you desire to test the payment system, use small amounts and then manually refund the payment through CourtReserve. Applicable transaction fees apply to all credit card transactions and refunds. CourtReserve will NOT refund fees associated with testing Stripe transactions.
Processing with the Admin Pay window
Locate an unpaid fee (e.g. go to RESERVATIONS > COURTS).
Click the Pay button. The Payment window displays.
Click the Payment Type option and select Credit Card (via Terminal) on the drop-down menu.
Click SAVE to send the payment to the terminal.
If the club has more than one terminal, select one terminal on the terminal drop-down menu for this payment. If there is only one terminal, it is the default terminal.
Tap, Insert, or Swipe the customer's card with the terminal device.
Wait for payment processing.
A green check appears on the terminal screen when the transaction completes.
Processing a POS transaction
Launch the CourtReserve Point of Sale (POS).
Select the terminal name on the Change Terminal pop-up.
Create an order and then click CHECKOUT.
In the Checkout window, select the member name. (optional)
Member Name is optional for quick transactions, but it is recommended using the Member Name when possible so transactions can be linked back to members for reference later.Go to the Payment Method heading and select Credit Card (via Terminal).
Click Process Sale.
CourtReserve sends the sale total to the terminal for payment completion.
STRIPE DEPOSITS
The expected timeframe for Stripe to deposit to your merchant account is 24 hours. Stripe charges may be reviewed in detail at any time on the Stripe Dashboard of your merchant account.
