INTRODUCTION

  1. Feature Summary: The Advanced Email Editor offers an intuitive interface with multiple content types and customization options. Users can easily drag and drop elements and choose from a variety of formatting tools to further customize emails being sent.

  2. Use Cases: For example, if an organizations needs more advanced tools to create a monthly newsletter for all players, the Advanced Editor offers more settings and content types compared to the Basic Editor. For quicker email composition, the Basic Editor can be used instead.

ENABLING THE ADVANCED EDITOR

When under Members > Email Players on the sidebar, a Try Advanced Editor button will be visible on the top-right corner of the email creation page. When clicked, the page will reload, and the organization will be migrated to the Advanced Editor. To go back to the previous editor, system users can use the Back to Basic Editor button.

CONTENT TYPES

To begin creating an email, system users can select a Content Type and drag it onto the email content screen. Content types represent the various types of information that can be added to an email. Below are the different content types available in this email builder:

TITLE, PARAGRAPH & LIST

The first three content types available are Title, Paragraph and List.

  • Title will automatically use a larger font size and bold text, making it perfect for headlines or important sections of your email.

  • Paragraph is ideal for adding larger bodies of text, allowing for clear and concise communication in each section.

  • List will default to bullet points, making it easy to organize and present key items or steps within your email.

IMAGE, BUTTON & TABLE

The next content types available are Image, Button and Table.

  • Image allows you to easily add visuals to your email. Simply drag the image content type to the screen and upload the desired image, making your email more engaging and visually appealing.

  • Table helps organize data or information in a structured format, making it easier to display comparisons, schedules, or other content that benefits from a grid layout.

  • Button provides a call-to-action , such as "Learn More" or "Register Now." You can customize the button’s text, color, and link to guide recipients to specific pages or actions.

DIVIDER, SOCIAL & VIDEO

The next content types available are Divider, Social, and Video:

  • Divider is a simple horizontal line used to visually separate sections within your email, improving readability and creating clear breaks between different types of content.

  • Social allow you to quickly add clickable icons that link to your social media profiles like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

  • Video enables you to embed a video directly into your email. Simply add the video link, and it will display a thumbnail that recipients can click to watch, adding an interactive and engaging element to your message.

ICONS & MENU

The next content types available are Icons and Menu:

  • Icons allow you to add small, visually engaging symbols to your email.

  • Menu provides a navigation bar within your email, making it easy for recipients to click and access different sections of your website or key links, such as "Home," "Shop," or "Contact Us." It’s perfect for giving readers a quick and organized way to explore more content directly from the email.

EDITING CONTENT

After adding a content type to the email content, users will be able to customize it through the Content Properties section. This section allows for detailed edits such as Font, Font Size, Text Color, Link Color, Spacing, and more. Each content type will have its own unique set of properties. For example, content types like Button and Image will feature an Action section where users can add a URL to direct email recipients to a specific destination.

For Text content types, users will have access to a text editor with formatting options like Bold, Italicize, Underline, Strike-through, Hyperlink and additional tools. Users can also insert Merge Tags to quickly personalize emails.

MERGE TAGS

With the Merge Tags feature, you can easily personalize your emails by automatically inserting key recipient information, making your messages feel more tailored and engaging. Available Merge Tags include:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Full Name

  • Email Address

  • Organization Name

Simply select the Merge Tag you want to use, and it will dynamically pull in the correct data for each recipient. Whether you're addressing users by their first name or referencing their organization, Merge Tags help you add a personal touch with minimal effort.

USING ROWS

With the Rows feature, you can easily organize your email layout by adding multiple content types to a single line. Whether you want to place text next to an image, add buttons side by side, or create a multi-column layout, Rows provide the flexibility to structure your email exactly how you envision it.

GENERAL EDITOR SETTINGS

In the Settings section, users can customize key design elements for their email. Adjust the content area width to control the layout, choose a background color to match your brand, and set the default font and link color for a consistent look across newly added content. These global settings make it easy to style your email with just a few clicks, ensuring a polished and cohesive design.
