Hi there!

In this last week of September, we’ve rolled out some exciting new features designed to help you better manage and optimize your cloud cost environment. Whether you want to streamline cost analysis or take advantage of smarter recommendations, this update is just for you!

Focusing on enhancing cost transparency, operational efficiency, and overall performance, this update will surely help you in making your cloud management a lot smoother and more intuitive.

Check out the details below. 👇

🆕Seven New Recommendations

We’ve added seven new recommendations that will help you minimize your cloud spending, enhance system performance, and maintain security compliance through optimizing cloud resources and eliminating unnecessary expenses. By adopting these best practices, your organization can achieve better financial control and ensure that your cloud infrastructure operates efficiently.

EC2: Instances Consolidation for Microsoft SQL Server

EC2: Instances Over-provisioned for Microsoft SQL Server

ECR: Repository Without Lifecycle Policy Configured

Route53: Latency Resource Record Sets

Inactive NAT Gateways

Inactive AWS Network Firewall

Network Firewall Endpoint Independence

For detailed information on each of these recommendations, please refer to documentation.

🆕Time Zone Implementation

Users can now select their preferred time zone, ensuring that all displayed dates and times align with their chosen setting. If a time zone is not manually configured, the system will default to the local time zone of the user's device, providing automatic adjustment based on location.

Additionally, we've introduced an option to automatically detect and apply the current time zone. When this setting is enabled, the system will automatically retrieve the time zone of the user's current location, ensuring accurate time display without manual intervention. By default, this option is set to auto for convenience, allowing seamless alignment with the user's local time.

🆕Group By Category

This new Group By Category in cost groups offers an intuitive and streamlined approach to analyzing cloud costs. Rather than examining expenses for individual services like DynamoDB, EC2, or S3, it aggregates these services into broader categories such as compute, storage, databases, and networking.

Operational Image

By grouping costs into larger categories, the feature simplifies cost analysis, making it easier to identify trends and areas for optimization. Users can further refine their analysis by combining this category view with other grouping options, such as daily or monthly time periods.

This feature is compatible with GCP, Azure, and AWS, offering a consistent approach to cost management across multiple cloud providers. It helps users gain a comprehensive understanding of their spending in a multi-cloud environment, making cloud cost management more efficient and actionable.
