Troubleshooting “Can’t connect to server” error

Try these steps if your internet connection is blocking access to Craftsman websites or services (Common with Frontier Internet)

Updated this week

If you see a “Can’t connect to server” error, your internet connection may be blocking access to Craftsman websites or services. This can happen with some internet providers or network settings.

Option 1: Try a VPN

If you already use a VPN, turn it on and try again. If you do not use a VPN, setting one up may solve the problem.

Option 2: Change your DNS settings

If a VPN does not help, try changing your DNS settings to Google Public DNS: 8.8.8.8

💡Tip:

If you are not sure how to do this, search online for:

how to change DNS settings on [your device or router]

Examples:

  • how to change DNS settings on Windows

  • how to change DNS settings on Mac

  • how to change DNS settings on my router

If this still does not work

If you still cannot connect after trying a VPN or changing your DNS settings, contact support.

Please include:

  • the exact error message you see

  • which Craftsman product or website you are trying to open

  • whether you tried a VPN

  • whether you changed your DNS settings

That will help us troubleshoot the problem faster.
