On some jobs you may want to change all costs by a percentage. For example, you might want to revise all labor costs up by 10% to allow for more difficult working conditions. Or you might want to make the estimate total come to a predetermined amount to match the owner’s budget.

Tips:

  • Enter a positive number to increase costs.

  • Enter a number preceded by a minus sign to reduce costs.

  • Press Tab (not Enter) to advance to the next box.

  • Clear the check mark before Display Percentage Adjustments to restore the estimate to the original values before adjustment.

  • Click Show Totals Only to hide material, labor and equipment costs.

  • Changing the labor cost per unit will change the hourly labor rate.

  • Percent changes affect only the current estimate.

  • To modify costs in the costbook, see Area Cost Modifications.
