The top line in an estimate is unique – designed to accept typed text, such as an estimate title. That first line won’t accept inserted or pasted costs. But there are other good choices. Either:

  1. On the top line of a new estimate, tap the enter key to advance to the second line. Now costs can be inserted or pasted into the estimate.

  2. When pasting from a costbook into a new estimate, right-click on the line to copy. Then click “Add selected to the end of the estimate.” The line selected will be added to the estimate as the second line.

If it’s important that a cost line be moved to the top of an estimate:

  1. Select what’s above that cost line.

  2. Press the Delete key.
