Professional registration checks are essential and need to be continuously verified. At Credentially, we have an integrated system which checks your professional registration number against the GMC, NMC, and HCPC databases. Regarding other registration numbers as for now, they can be collected for a manual check by the admin.

There are two ways to enter your number into the system:

  • Do it upon your onboarding. Usually, you will be asked to fill in your professional registration number in your onboarding on Credentially.

OR

  • You can enter your registration number later on by entering it in your profile's 'Professional registration' tab. See the GIF below.

NOTE: Enter your PIN using uppercase letters instead of lowercase symbols. E.g. 99A9999A.

Once the correct PIN number is provided, you will see the status 'REGISTERED' on your screen.

History of checks

Credentially tracks the history of GMC, NMC, and HCPC checks data and statuses. If you want to look through it, just click on the 'View History' sign.

As a staff member, you will be able to see if something has gone wrong with your professional registration. Your administrators will be able to see the history of these checks as well.

Frequency of professional registration checks

  • GMC check: every day (displays check date, status)

  • HCPC check: weekly (displays check date, status)

  • NMC check: weekly (displays check date, qualification, and status)
