When reaching out to talents, follow ups can improve your reply rate up to +50%. Sending messages from different channels (email + LinkedIn) can significantly improve your reply rate too, up to 40%.

With this automation, you can send personalized messages to multiple individuals by email and on LinkedIn from the desktop app and even send them from the Chrome Extension.

You will find:

1/ How to create a new sequence template

First, on your sidebar open Templates, on the "Sequences" section

Hit "New template"

Add an internal name (which only members of Crew can see)

2/ Add a new step by clicking on "Add step"

3/ How to set up email steps

It can be:

  • The email address of the sender : meaning the team member who will use this template. If your colleague "Paul" for example uses this template, the email will be sent from his email address

  • A specific team member : if you choose this option, by default when using this template the sender will be the email address of this team member. Typically you can use the email address "contact@companyname" for rejection email templates.

And can be different for each step. For example, email 1 can be sent from person A, email 2 from person B etc...

Write the email from scratch

Or use a pre-existent email template

Add variables to the email subject

Add variables to the email body

Choose your cadence (number of days before sending the next email)

Note: If the talent replies, the sequence automatically stops

Hit "Save changes"

4/ How to set up LinkedIn message steps (only for the Recruiter role)

Choose who will send the LinkedIn message:

Coming soon!

Write your message from scratch:

Or use template LinkedIn message templates:

See how to create LinkedIn message templates here

You can also use variables in LinkedIn messages:

πŸ”΄ Why is there a warning message?

Our sequences will try to complete each step on time. It may happen that you try to send a LinkedIn message to a talent you are not connected with. In this case, this step will be skipped and we will wait for the time indicated on the next step to complete it.

Choose your cadence (number of days before sending the next step)

Note: If the talent replies in LinkedIn chat and you have synced the conversation by clicking on "Sync" in the chat, then the sequence will stop.

Hit "Save changes"

5/ How to set up LinkedIn invite steps (only for the Recruiter role)

Choose who will send the LinkedIn invite:

Coming soon!

Add a note if you want (and use variables, as explained above for LinkedIn messages):

Choose your cadence (number of days before sending the next step)

Note: If the talent replies in LinkedIn chat and you have synced the conversation by clicking on "Sync" in the chat, then the sequence will stop.

Hit "Save changes"

πŸ”΄ If you're already with the talent, the step will be skipped. If the talent has not accepted your invite, then the next LinkedIn steps will be skipped and only emails steps will execute, respecting the chosen deadlines.

Now that you have created your first sequence template, learn how to send your first sequence. Check out this article.
