How do I extend my project deadline?

Do you need to extend the length of your project?

Extend your deadline to close at a later date

If your project has been running for a minimum of 10 days, then you can extend your project deadline from the 'Manage' tab of your project dashboard.

Please note: If you have a personal fundraiser project, this tab will not appear. Please request a deadline extension by contacting our support team at support@crowdfunder.co.uk.

You will be able to extend your project duration for up to a maximum of 12 weeks from the start date of your project. We would strongly advise that you contact your supporters to inform them of the extension, letting them know about any potential impact on their reward delivery dates.

If you have already reached the maximum of 84 days (12 weeks) for running a project on Crowdfunder, you can request a closing date extension from our Customer Support Team at support@crowdfunder.co.uk. We deal with these on a case-by-case basis and would only offer a further extension if it was deemed appropriate, so please let us know the reasons for your request.

Switch to Always On and keep raising funds forever

Instead of extending your closing date, you can allow your project to close and switch to Always On. This is usually the best option if you wish to keep taking donations for an extended period of time.

The Always On function enables Crowdfunder projects to continue raising funds after their project has successfully reached its initial closing date. The green icon shown below signifies that a project is Always On:

What are the benefits of Always on?

  • Keep raising funds forever

  • Continue telling your story and build on your project's success

  • Reach new audiences and receive ongoing exposure on Crowdfunder

Important features of Always On:

  • You cannot offer rewards while your project is running as Always On

  • Your project page will not display a closing date or a target - instead, your supporters will only be able to see your total raised so far

How can I switch my project to Always On?

You can enable Always On when creating or editing your project using the toggle shown below in the 'Schedule' tab. Your project will then switch to Always On automatically once it closes successfully on your scheduled close date.
