How does P2P Trading work?

Peer-to-peer trading is a popular method adopted by CSGORoll to allow Counter-Strike 2 skin trading between two players directly.

This system is not automated and requires your involvement in the trade. Please follow the instructions and beware of scam attempts!

How the new CSGORoll Trade Protection works

When you confirm a trade with items from a game that supports Trade Protection (for example, Counter-Strike 2), the items move to the receiver instantly and can be used in-game right away. During the protection window, the sender still has the option to reverse the trade.

For the next 7 days, those items are locked on the receiver’s account, and the coins are locked to the depositor's account; the items cannot be traded, modified, or consumed. When the 7 days end, protection expires, the trade becomes permanent, the coins will be transferred, and the item can be traded again with no option to reverse.

You can find out more in this blog post here

Instant Coins

CSGORoll gives you access to a portion of your coins you will receive in 7 days as Instant Coins. This lets you keep playing even though the trade is still under protection. Your available Instant Coins depend on your activity and trust o the site and cannot be changed manually.

Instant Coins limits by tier

  • Tier 1: 0 coins

  • Tier 2: 100 coins

  • Tier 3: 200 coins

  • Tier 4: 500 coins

  • Tier 5: 1,000 coins

  • Tier 6: 2,000 coins

  • Tier 7: 3,000 coins

Tiers, limits, and penalties may change over time. CSGORoll may take immediate action against attempts to exploit or bypass the system.

What it means for you

If you are sending CS2 skins:
Your coins are safe. While the trade is in the 7-day protection period, your balance is not fully credited yet. When protection ends, your coins are automatically credited and work like normal.

If the coins have not been received once the trade protection is ended, please take a look here for the next steps to take!

If you are receiving CS2 skins
You are covered as well. If the sender reverses the trade during the protection window, your CSGORoll coins are returned, and the sender is penalised.

If the coins have not been returned yet, please reach out to the support team!

P2P Trading Checklist

Follow the on-screen steps shown during the trade.
Link your Steam WebAPI Key in your CSGORoll settings to improve tracking and reduce issues.

Seller (the person sending the skins)

  • You need to send the Steam trade offer. The buyer should not send you a trade request.

  • If the buyer does not accept before the timer ends, cancel the Steam offer before cancelling the trade on CSGORoll to avoid losing your items.

  • Send the exact item highlighted on CSGORoll.

    • You’ll see a screenshot showing where it sits in your inventory.

    • Use “Copy item name” and paste it into Steam’s “Looking for a specific item?” search to find it fast.

  • Sending the same skin with a different float, stickers, charms, multiple items, or an inventory position counts as a different item and will make the trade invalid.

  • Do not reverse the trade during the protection window; otherwise, you may be penalised.

Buyer (the person requesting the skins)

  • Check the offer carefully. Decline if you are unsure about anything.

  • Only accept the exact item listed. Do not accept offers with extra items or a different item, as any items accepted will be considered as accepted, and any additional coins will be given to the seller.

  • If the timer is about to expire, or has expired, cancel the request on CSGORoll.

  • Do not reverse the trade during the protection window; otherwise, you may be penalised.

Required settings

  • Your Steam inventory must be Public. If it’s Private, you won’t receive trade offers, and refunds can’t be processed. If you believe you should have received a refund but haven’t, contact support.

  • You must not have any Steam restrictions, such as a trade restriction, due to changing your Steam name recently, changing your Steam Guard settings or reversing trades.

Cooldown, refunds and frozen trades

  • Trade cooldown can take up to 25 minutes after the cooldown has initially begun.

  • If a trade fails or expires, our system automatically refunds your balance once the trade expires, if the trade request has been cancelled on Steam.

  • If you're experiencing a trade showing as Frozen, please contact support.

Stay safe

  • Trade only the listed item. Anything else will mark the trade as invalid.

  • Always double-check the user and the item before confirming.

  • Trading after the timer, canceling on CSGORoll before acting on the Steam offer, or trading during Steam lag/issues can lead to item or balance losses. CSGORoll is not responsible for user-initiated mistakes.

CSGORoll does not take any responsibility for your trades. Please be careful and always double-check before confirming a trade offer to guarantee you send your skins to the correct user. Trading after the timer has expired, cancelling the trade on CSGORoll before cancelling the Steam offer, or participating in trading during Steam Service issues may result in a loss of Skins or Coins.
