Yes! FanSee can be used anywhere fans have a reliable internet connection. This means fans can appear on your video board whether they are in the venue, watching from home, or participating from another city or state.
How It Works
When a fan scans the FanSee QR code displayed on the broadcast, video board, or promotional materials, their live video feed is sent to your moderation queue.
From there, your operator can review the available fan feeds and choose which fans appear on the video board by clicking the Live button next to their feed.
This allows you to combine in-venue and remote fans in the same experience. For example, you can feature fans in the stands with the crowd visible behind them alongside fans participating from their couches at home. This creates a more inclusive experience that recognizes and celebrates your entire fanbase.
For example, CUE helped Kentucky celebrate a national championship anniversary by having former coach Rick Pitino participate remotely from St. John's and appear live on the video board at Rupp Arena in Lexington. NBA teams can also use this approach with League Pass broadcasts to engage remote fans alongside fans attending the game.
Selecting Fans to Go Live
When reviewing fan feeds, look for the connection indicator above the phone feed:
Green: Strong connection
Orange: Shaky connection
Red: Poor connection
When selecting fans, prioritize quality over quantity. Look for participants who:
Hold their phone steady.
Are looking at the camera.
Appear ready and engaged.
Have a strong connection.
Avoid feeds where the camera is shaking, pointed at the ceiling, or moving erratically. Selecting stable, high-quality feeds creates a better viewing experience and can help prevent motion sickness for your audience.
Moderation and Creative Effects
FanSee gives your operator control over which feeds appear live. You can review and moderate fan video before putting it on the video board, helping ensure that the content is appropriate for your audience.
FanSee also supports green screen filter capabilities, allowing you to place fans in branded or themed environments. For example, fans could appear on a pirate ship, in outer space, or in a director's chair.
