By default, when you add email as an 'additional information' field in CUE's data collection, the email is not verified — fans simply type it in and proceed. If you need verified emails, you can enable email verification, which requires fans to check their inbox and enter a code. However, email verification creates friction and can slow down participation, especially for time-limited activations. For most use cases, unverified email collection works well — fans rarely enter fake emails when they're trying to win prizes, and if they do make a typo, they simply won't receive their prize. You can also use phone number verification as an alternative and still collect email as an additional unverified field.
