Currently, CUE's Polling Mania does not support a mixed format where you have both multiple choice options and a free text write-in option within the same poll. You must choose one format or the other for each poll: either multiple choice with up to eight predefined options, or free text response where fans type in their answer. However, many teams work around this by presenting their top candidates as multiple choice options, then creating a separate follow-up poll or round for write-in responses if needed. For use cases like player of the match voting, teams often find success by selecting the four or five most obvious candidates for multiple choice, recognizing that the true contenders are typically limited to goal scorers, assist providers, and standout defensive performers anyway.
