Viz Flowics and the Automator

Learn how to use Viz Flowics with the Cuez Automator

Updated over a week ago

What is Viz Flowics?

Viz Flowics is a cloud-native platform for remote and in-studio production of live graphics and interactive experiences for linear and digital broadcasters and all production workflows. More information on their website.

Adding Viz Flowics to the Automator

In the top right corner of the Automator, we see 'Devices' - this can be either in red or green depending on the status of the configured devices. Click it and select 'Add device'.

Next, select 'Viz Flowics' from the 'Device type' dropdown list, then give it a name.

To finalise our Viz Flowics configuration so it can be used with the Automator, we will need the Viz Flowics Graphics token.

Find your token and copy it. Next, paste the token into the Cuez Automator configuration and click outside of the field. The Viz Flowics 'device' will now show as 'Online' in green, meaning it is ready to be used with the Cuez Automator.

Where to find your Viz Flowics Graphics token

To find your token in Viz Flowics, open the Graphics you want to use with the Cuez Automator, then go to 'All scenes' at the top of the screen. On the right hand side, find the 'Graphics token' section and copy the token.

For a more detailed explanation on the Viz Flowics token, check out the help article on their website.

Configuring actions

The next step is then to configure each Item and Block configuration with the (set of) functions you want to perform on Viz Flowics (or a combination of Viz Flowics and for example vMix) when triggering the Item or Block - more on that in this article.

An example that uses Cuez, the Automator and multiple lower third designs in Viz Flowics, can be found here.
