How can I create an Episode Template?

Learn how to create Episode Templates to create content more efficiently

Updated over a week ago

Creating Episode Templates is available only to Project Admins. Once a Template has been created, anyone in the Project can use it to create new Episodes.

Creating 'Episode Templates' in Cuez is easy. You can turn any existing Episodes into a Template. If you don’t have an Episode yet, you can create one first and then convert it into a Template.

How can I create an Episode Template?

From the Project’s Episode overview, click the three vertical dots next to an Episode to open the action menu. Next, select 'Create template from episode' to create a template from that Episode.

Once the process is complete, Cuez will confirm in the bottom left corner that your Template is ready to use.

Your original Episode remains unchanged. The new Template appears under the 'Templates' section in the Project’s Episode overview.

By default, your Episode Template will be called 'Template of' followed by the name of your original Episode. You can create multiple Templates, so we recommend giving them clear names to make selection easier when creating a new Episode.

Which content goes into the Episode Template?

When converting an Episode into a Template, its structure (Parts, Items, Blocks), content (text, clips, images), Columns, and Timings are all included. This means you can prepare your Episode with all of the content and information that you want to easily reuse via the template.

A well-prepared Template allows you to focus only on the changes needed for each specific show or event.
