Which Story Properties types are available?

Learn about the different story property types available so you can customize the fields to your specific needs

As explained in What are Story Properties?, you and your team can customize Storiez so that all the required information can be added to (sub) stories. Besides a set of default story properties, you can create custom properties for additional information. For each of the custom properties you add, you can select which type of information the field will hold.

Available story property types

Checkmark

Checkmarks, or checkboxes, allow you to add a field of which the value will be either true or false, meaning the box will be checked or unchecked.

Switch

A switch works in a similar way as a checkmark, meaning that you can use this to indicate if certain information has a true or false value, meaning the switch will be toggled on or off.

Number

A number field can hold numerical information (numbers), as opposed to alphabetical information (text).

Text

A text field is a single line of text, where non-formatted text can be entered. For multi-line, formatted text, use an html field.

Status

A status field allows you and your team to easily indicate a status for a story. Select the value from the dropdown menu, which has options such as 'Pending', 'Awaiting approval', 'Approved', and more.

Priority

A priority field allows you and your team to easily set a priority for a story. Select the value from the dropdown menu, which has options such as 'Breaking', 'Actual', 'Events', 'Pitch', 'Archived' or 'Dropped'.

Html

An html field is a multi-line text field, where formatted text can be entered. For single-line, unformatted text, use a text field.

Multiselect

A multiselect field allows you to create a custom dropdown menu with option that you and your team can create yourselves. One or more options can be selected in this type of field.

Select

A select field allows you to create a custom dropdown menu with option that you and your team can create yourselves. One single option can be selected in this type of field.

Assignee

An assignee field is a field that allows you and your team to select a user that will be assigned to the (sub) story. One single option can be selected in this type of field.

An assignees field is a field that allows you and your team to select one or more users that will be assigned to the (sub) story. One or more options can be selected in this type of field.

Date

A date field allows you to pick a date from a calendar to easily add date information to the (sub) story.

Time

A time field allows you to pick a time to easily add time information to the (sub) story.

DateTime

A date time field allows you to pick a date, as well as a time, to easily this information as a single field to the (sub) story.

Date range

A date range field allows you to pick a start date and an end date from a calendar to easily add a range of dates to the (sub) story.

Image

An image field allow you to add/upload images.

Video

A video field allow you to add/upload videos.

Audio

An audio field allow you to add/upload audio files.
