Eat more often to boost your metabolism
It’s easy to trace this myth back to its origin. Digestion does raise your metabolism a little, so eating less food more often should keep your metabolism elevated.
In theory.
In practice, evidence shows that, given an equal amount of daily calories, the number of meals largely makes no difference in fat loss and weight control.
The Truth
Digestion does slightly increase your metabolic rate, but meal frequency has less effect than the total caloric content of the food consumed. So what's more important is how much and what you eat, not how often you eat!
