The individual progress of each user's training may be observed by using multiple assessment tools, including the progress report generator or Myndlift brain assessment, and this is usually provided by the neurofeedback practitioner to the trainee after enough training sessions are completed.
However, users are eager to understand their progress immediately after the session ends, and Myndlift strives to deliver that information regardless of how much the person knows about how neurofeedback works. This led us to create the Brain Scores - giving users more information about their brains and allowing them to quantify their performance during their Myndlift neurofeedback session. They are shown to users at the end of each round.
The system divides the sessions into multiple time blocks of 5.25 seconds each and analyzes the user's performance in each block. The moment a round is finished, users can see a graph that shows them minute by minute when they were in one of the following states: movement, neutral, zone, and deep zone.
Movement means there was over 20% signal noise/interference in that time block.
Neutral means the feedback was less than 50% positive in that time block.
Zone means the feedback was between 50% and 75% positive in that time block.
Deep zone means the feedback was mostly positive (above 75%).
In addition to the graph, they are also shown a summary of the zone, deep zone, and movement percentages overall, which is calculated based on what shows in the graph.
Streaks are calculated based on the number of consecutive blocks spent in the deep zone.
A point of feedback score is earned for every second of positive feedback earned throughout that round.
XP is an index score taking into account the overall zone metrics, streaks, feedback score, and the duration of the round. The higher each of these metrics are, the higher the XP will be.
