To make collaboration easier on your forms, being inspection forms, work orders, fault repairs or service form, you can share the Gearbelt Mechanic web app directly with registered contacts or via SMS.
This is easily done by following these steps:
1. Access the 'Schedules' section under 'Management' in the left-hand side navigation menu. Go into 'Schedule Activity' at the top
2. Select 'Send to Contact' in the top right corner of the register. You'll be presented with three options:
Open Link - this will open the Asset Web app module
Copy Link - this copy the link to the Asset Web app module, to share with collaborators via email or via your internal messaging app
Share Link - this allow you to share access directly with existing contacts or to enter a mobile number for them to receive the link via SMS
3. Select 'Share Link'. You'll then be able to select a recipient from your contacts or add a new mobile number
4. Once you've selected the relevant contact or entered the relevant mobile number, select 'Send'
5. The recipient will get an SMS letting them know that you've shared a link with them. The link will allow the recipient to access any faults assigned to them
