Calculating the total plant hours in a daily report is made easy using a TIMEDIF() formula.

To start, navigate your cursor to the left tab and use a 'Default' table under 'Table' for your plant log. The table should look similarly like this:

Plant item/equipment

Start Time

Finish Time

Total Plant hours

(Drop down list) - A1

(Time field) - B1

(Time field) - C1

(Formula field) - D1

To calculate the total plant hours (or time difference) use the formula in cell D1,

= TIMEDIF(B1,C1)

Note: In filling out your form, when you click on '+' to add more entries the formula is automatically populated to the next row under colum D (D2, D3, D4,...Dn).
