Datacapt Version 4.18

Updated this week

Platform settings

Roles and Permissions

1.1 New permission : Role Assignment Restrictions

We’ve introduced a new functionality that allows users to restrict role assignments for specific roles. Authorized users can now configure which roles a particular user role is permitted to assign.

Key highlights of this feature include:

  • Controlled Role Assignments: Users with restricted roles can only assign the roles explicitly allowed.

  • Enhanced Security: Prevents unauthorized role assignments, ensuring tighter control over role-based permissions.

Action Required: Administrators must update the role assignment permissions immediately after the release to align with their organizational policies.

Screenshot 2025-06-09 at 22.51.00.png

1.2 New permission : Randomization Information Details

A new permission has been added to manage the visibility of randomization information directly in the EDC/eCRF. This feature provides better control over who can view randomization details.

This new permission can be tailored to specific roles, ensuring only authorized users have access to randomization data. You can now decide whether randomization information should be displayed or hidden in the EDC eCRF for specific roles.

Action Required: You must review and update randomization visibility permissions to align with their study requirements. By default, Randomization Details is not activated for custom roles.

1.3 Permission Split : Monitoring SDV & Review

We have updated the monitoring permission to separate Source Data Verification (SDV) and Review permissions. This enhancement ensures greater control over monitoring activities.

You can now assign SDV and Review permissions independently to ensure that only authorized users can perform each activity. By separating these permissions, the risk of unauthorized access or actions is minimized, ensuring compliance with study protocols.

Action Required: Roles with previous Monitor (Review & SDV) permission should review and update their roles to align with their organizational policies.
