π Overview
Multiple Appointments per Time Slot (MAPTS) is designed for organizations that allow multiple customers to schedule appointments at the same time. This version enables you to create fixed time slots with a defined number of available spots per slot. In addition to supporting multiple appointments per time slot, MAPTS allows you to define specific appointment times rather than setting a broad range of available hours.
π Enabling Multiple Appointments Per Time Slot
Multiple Appointments per Time Slot is available with a Gold Tier subscription or higher. To enable the MAPTS version, please contact our Support team to connect you with a Sales agent in order to proceed with upgrading your account.
β οΈ Important to Know Before Switching:
Existing schedules will be replaced with custom time slot creators.
Existing appointments will no longer appear on schedules.
Customers will be unable to schedule appointments until new time slots are created.
We recommend switching versions only when you have a few hours available to create new time slots for all active staff members or schedules.
π Quick Creator
The Quick Time Slot Creator is ideal for organizations with consistent time slots across all open days and hours defined in the Settings tab > Open Hours. Time slots created using this tool will also appear in the Manual Time Slot Creator, where individual slots can be edited.

Click Staff Members tab > Select the Staff Member who needs their schedule customized.
Click Schedule.
Click Quick Creator.
Set the frequency (Every) and Slot Duration for each time slot.
Set Appointments Per Slot to the maximum number of appointments allowed per time slot.
Adjust daily start and end times as needed. Default values are based on your Open and Closed Hours within the Settings tab.
Click Create Slots.
π‘ Pro Tip: The Quick Time Slot Creator is not available when adding or editing Schedule Templates.
π οΈ Manual Time Slot Creator
The Manual Time Slot Creator allows you to customize Appointment start and end times, adjust slot duration, modify the maximum number of appointments per slot, and add, edit, or delete individual time slots.
π‘ Pro Tip: If a full-day schedule is created using the Quick Time Slot Creator, the Manual Time Slot Creator can be used to remove slots reserved for lunch breaks.
π Number of Spots
After MAPTS is enabled, the Number of Spots field becomes available when creating or editing Services and Events. The value represents how many spots are consumed when the service or event is scheduled. It does not represent the total number of appointments available in a slot. In most cases, this value should be set to 1.
π§ Example: A chiropractor may normally see five patients at once. If a New Patient Orientation requires full attention, the serviceβs Number of Spots can be set to 5, consuming all available spots and preventing other appointments from being booked during that time.
π₯ Number in Group
The Number in Group field allows staff or customers to specify how many individuals are included in an appointment or Event.
π§ Example: If a Service has 10 available numbers in Group and a user enters 11 in the Number in Group field, an error message will display indicating insufficient availability.

Appointments Preferences
Appointments #10 β Show customer names instead of appointment counts (e.g., show names instead of "2/4 appointments") on the appointment grid.
Appointments #17 β Allow appointments to be scheduled during unavailable times.
Appointments #18 β Allow admin users to exceed the maximum number of appointments per time slot.

How can I schedule more than one appointment in the same time slot?

If administrative users only occasionally need to schedule more than one appointment in the same time slot, you can enable the overlapping appointment setting. This setting adds links next to existing appointments, allowing additional appointments to be added within the same time slot.
To enable this setting:
Click Settings.
Click Appointments.
Locate and set Appointments Preference #41: If using the multiple appointments per time slot version, allow appointments to span to other time slots to Yes.
Click Update.

Click Update.

When using MAPTS, you can hide blank time slots in Site Administration. This setting only applies to the Appointment Grid in Site Administration and does not affect the Customer View.
To hide unavailable time slots:
Click Settings.
Click Appointments.
Locate Appointments Preference #35 and set it to Yes.
Click Update.
