If you need to make changes after submitting a payroll run, you can cancel it, make your corrections, and resubmit before the processing deadline. This article walks you through the cancellation and resubmission process and covers common scenarios you may encounter along the way.
🛠️ How to Cancel and Reprocess a Payroll Run

Navigate to the Dashboard.
Locate the payroll that needs to be cancelled and select View details under the Actions column.
In the top right corner, select Cancel payroll.
Select Cancel this payroll in the confirmation popup.
Refresh the page and navigate back to the Dashboard. The payroll run will now appear with an option to Resume.
On the Hours and earnings page, make the necessary adjustments and select Next.
Review your updates on the Review and submit page, then select Submit payroll.
⚠️Please Note: You must cancel and resubmit payroll before 8:00 PM Pacific Time on the processing day. Resubmitting after this deadline may result in delayed direct deposits for your workers.

Refresh the page. This should repopulate the payroll run on your Dashboard so you can resume and resubmit it.

You can cancel a payroll run any time before 8:00 PM Pacific Time on the processing day. Keep in mind, you'll need to resubmit the payroll before that same deadline to ensure your workers' direct deposits process on time.
What should I do if the option to cancel is no longer available?

Once a payroll has started processing, the option to cancel is no longer available. If you need to reverse the payroll at that point, contact support to request a payroll void.
⚠️Please Note: Depending on the timing of a payroll void, some taxes may have already been submitted to state or federal tax agencies and may not be refundable.
