Spam reviews can distort the credibility of your product feedback and affect the overall perception of your store. To maintain the authenticity of your reviews section, it’s essential to know how to identify, flag, and remove spam reviews. Here’s a step-by-step guide on managing spam reviews effectively
How to Mark or Flag a Review as Spam
To prevent unwanted reviews from appearing on your store, you can flag specific reviews as spam. Here’s how:
Step 1:
Go to your dashboard and navigate to Manage Reviews.
Step 2:
Click on Reviews to see all customer feedback.
Step 3:
Find the specific review you want to flag, click on the ellipsis (⋮) icon, and select Flag as Spam.
Note: Flagging a review as spam will automatically change its status to hidden, so it will no longer be visible on your store.
How to Remove a Review from Spam
If you’ve mistakenly flagged a review as spam or want to restore a hidden review, you can unflag it easily:
Step 1
Go to Manage Reviews and select Reviews.
Step 2
Locate the review marked as spam, click on the ellipsis (⋮) icon, and choose Unflag.
Note: The review will return to its visible status and will appear on your store again.
How to Permanently Delete a Spam Review
To fully remove a spam review from your store, follow these steps:
Step 1
Go to Manage Reviews and click on Reviews.
Step 2
Select the reviews that are Flagged as Spam.
Step 3C
Click on Actions and select Delete Reviews.
Step 4
Confirm by clicking Delete.
Note: Deleted reviews are permanently removed and cannot be restored.
