How to make your first MXN deposit 🇲🇽

Send MXN to this account and receive digital dollars in your Decaf wallet.

Updated over a week ago

Want to convert Mexican pesos to digital dollars quickly, safely, and hassle-free?

🧾 What is Decaf’s virtual CLABE?

When you create your virtual Mexican account in Decaf, we automatically generate a CLABE (a standard bank account number in Mexico). This CLABE works just like any other in the country: you — or anyone else — can send a SPEI transfer from another bank, just like paying any regular account.

But here’s the good part: when the deposit is made in pesos, you receive digital dollars directly in your Decaf Wallet.

💸 Step by step: how to convert your pesos into USDC

  1. Open your Decaf Wallet and go to the "Deposit" section.

  2. Select the MXN Bank Transfer option.

  3. Copy the virtual CLABE that appears — this is your personal account to receive pesos.

  4. From your banking app or online banking, make a regular SPEI transfer:

    • To the CLABE you copied

    • In the name of the beneficiary shown in Decaf

    • For the amount you want to deposit

💡 You can also share this CLABE with others so they can send money to you directly from their bank accounts in Mexico.

5. In just a few minutes, you'll receive the equivalent amount in USDC in your Decaf Wallet.

💡 These transfers are processed via ACH cycles. Withdrawals made on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Exchange rate

In the app you will be provided with a live exchange rate, which already includes the fees of the deposits.

⚠️ Please note: the rate displayed in the app is for reference only. The final exchange rate will be confirmed after your deposit is completed, as there may be slight changes due to delays in the banking system.
