Step-by-step instructions on sending a link

Sending a link to your application(s) is easy and fast. When you try this approach, you are creating an actual application and at the same time, sending them the link automatically to continue their application. If you want to create and application but NOT alert the applicant, Read the article Starting An Application on Behalf of a Client and select the option not to alert them.  

➡️ STEP 1: Navigate to the New Client tab and fill out the required fields. Required fields include Company name, E-mail, First Name and Last Name. You may fill out more information if you wish or allow the applicant to do so.

STEP 2: Ensure you select the desired Application Template at the bottom. Any application templates available should show up in the drop-down list.

Note: What if the desired application does not show up? If the application template you are looking for does not show in the drop-down list, it usually means that the application has not been published. This is likely due to changes being made to the application by an Admin on your team or by Decipher. An application must be published before it can be used. Please reach out to support@deciphercredit.com if you encounter this situation and need assistance. 

STEP 3: You will automatically be assigned to the deal/application unless you choose to assign another Sales/BDO/RM. Note: You can always assign them later. If a small team, it may be best not to assign anyone so that all team members will automatically see all applications every time they log into Decipher. 

STEP 4: Click Send Application 

STEP 5: Check to ensure the applicant received the link. Navigate to Applications. The name of the company you wrote in Step 1 should now show up under New Applications or your stage name for when applications are first received.

Click on the Company Name.

Step 6: Verify to ensure the applicant received the link you sent. 

Navigate to the Application. Look for the email in the Email Activity panel. The email will be displayed there in the main dashboard (if you have selected this panel to be displayed). 


If Email Activity is not Visible, Click on the Email String icon to view the email.
