Delve has a number of export and sharing options that are optimal for sharing with your team. However sometimes you may just want to copy one snippet directly from the interface. This process can lead to an unwanted retention of the original yellow background formatting when pasting the text into other documents. This article will guide you through the steps to paste text without this yellow formatting.

Pasting Without Formatting

For PC Users:

  1. Copy your selected text in Delve using either the `Ctrl+C` keyboard shortcut or by right-clicking the selected text and choosing "Copy."

  2. To paste this text without its original formatting, including the yellow background, use the `Ctrl+Shift+V` shortcut in most applications. If the application you're pasting into does not support this shortcut, look for a "Paste without formatting" or "Paste as plain text" option in the application's Edit menu or the right-click context menu.

For Mac Users:

  1. Copy the desired snippet from Delve with `Cmd+C` or by selecting "Copy" from the right-click context menu.

  2. Use `Option+Shift+Cmd+V` to paste the text without formatting in most applications. If this shortcut does not work, try `Shift+Cmd+V` or look for a "Paste and Match Style" or "Paste without formatting" option in the application's Edit menu.
