Assigning and Creating Designer Approvals

Track internal design approvals needed for specs, such as shop drawings, samples, or finish approvals

Assign Approvals to Individual Spec

  1. Open the spec

  2. Go to the Details tab

  3. Scroll to the bottom

  4. Toggle approvals on or off for this spec

  5. Click Save

Set Up Default Approvals by Spec Type

  1. Go to DashboardGlobal Settings

  2. Click Spec Types tab

  3. Click on a spec type (e.g., Door)

  4. Go to the Designer Approval tab

  5. Add approvals from the available list on the right

  6. Set defaults that should be auto-enabled for new specs

  7. Click Save

Now every new spec of that type will have those approvals pre-selected.

Create New Designer Approvals

  1. Go to DashboardGlobal Settings

  2. Click the Approvals tab

  3. Click New

  4. Enter the approval name

  5. Click Save

The new approval becomes available to assign to any spec type.

Tips

  • Defaults save time when creating many specs of the same type

  • You can override defaults on individual specs

  • Delete approvals from a spec by clicking the X
