A MAC address (Media Access Control address) is a unique identifier assigned to a physical device, such as a desk phone. DialLink uses the MAC address to recognize and register the device during setup.
MAC addresses are typically displayed in the format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
. On some devices, the MAC address may appear as a continuous string of characters without separators (e.g., 64167F3A6882
). This is the same value, just formatted differently.
Note. You’ll need this address when adding the device to your DialLink account.
