Our app uses a so-called draft orders approach, which means free gifts are added only when a customer is checking out. Customers also usually choose the gift on the cart page.

We tried to add free gifts to the customer’s cart, but the different themes and cart solutions on the Shopify platform have made it technically challenging to insert the free gift into the cart. Therefore, it is impossible to guarantee compatibility with thousands of Shopify themes and AJAX carts.
