Updated yesterday

Adding photos to your structures in DAS is quick and easy. Follow these steps to transfer images from your iPhone directly into your report. No technical expertise is needed, simply turn on your phone and follow the guide below.

Uploading Photos from Your iPhone

  1. Open the Report Editing Interface

    • Navigate to the Structures section in your report.

    • Click on the Gallery button.

  2. Start the Upload Process

    • Click the Upload button.

    • A QR code will appear—scan it using your iPhone camera.

    • A link will open on your phone, allowing you to upload images directly.

  3. Select and Upload Photos

    • Tap the Upload button on your phone.

    • Choose images from your Gallery or Files.

    • Once selected, the upload will begin automatically.

    • A ✔️ tick mark will appear next to each successfully uploaded image.

  4. Exit the Upload Interface

    • Click Exit button (X) in the top-right corner to return to the Gallery.

    • Your uploaded images will now be visible and ready for assignment.

Assigning Photos to Structures

Once your images are uploaded, you can assign them to structures using one of the following methods:

1. Drag and Drop

  • Simply drag an image and drop it onto the corresponding structure.

2. Assign Multiple Images Manually

  • Click the ✔️ tick next to each image you want to assign.

  • Click the Assign to button at the bottom of the gallery.

  • Select the structure you want to link them to.

3. Auto-Assign with Geotagging

  • Click the Auto Assign button.

  • DAS will automatically match images to nearest structures based on GPS coordinates (lat/long).

  • Note: Your iPhone’s camera must have Geotagging enabled for this feature to work. (We have a separate guide on enabling Geotagging if needed.)

    Tracking Assigned Photos

    • Each structure card will display a 📷 photo icon with a number, indicating how many images are assigned.

    • The image file name will update to reflect the assigned structure and order, e.g.:

      • Structure 1 - 1 (Structure #1, Image #1)

      • Structure 1 - 2 (Structure #1, Image #2)

By following these steps, you can quickly attach and organize images within your report, making it easy to reference visual details when needed. 🚀
