Uploading Photos to Reports & Exploring Gallery Features
Updated over 3 weeks ago

DAS allows you to enhance your reports with uploaded photos and manage them efficiently through the gallery feature. This guide will walk you through how to upload images and explore the gallery tools available within reports.

Once inside a report, you can add photos in two sections, including Structures (Property Reports) and Improvements (Appraisal Reports / Sales Analysis). These sections provide two main options:

  1. Uploading a Photo Directly – Attach a photo directly to a specific structure.

  2. Using the Gallery – Bulk upload multiple images first and assign them to structures later.

After selecting one of these options, click the "Upload" button to proceed to the upload page.

Uploading Photos

DAS supports the following file formats for image uploads: JPEG, HEIC, and PNG

1. Uploading from Your Phone or Another Device

  • Scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or access the provided upload URL on another device.

  • This will open the upload interface, allowing you to select and upload images directly from your phone or any other device where your photos are stored.

2. Uploading from Your Computer

  • Click the "Choose Files" button in the gallery or simply drag and drop your photo files into the upload area.

  • This will open your file explorer, allowing you to select and upload multiple images at once.

Once uploaded, all photos will be stored in the gallery, ready for assignment. To return to the Gallery page, click the (X) button in the top-right corner of the upload page.

Assigning Gallery Photos to Structures

Once your photos are in the gallery, there are three ways to assign them to a structure:

  1. Drag and Drop: Click and hold a photo, drag it onto the desired structure, and release to assign.

  2. Assign to Button: Use the "Assign to" button at the bottom right of the gallery after click on the check boxes to the left of the images to manually select the desired structure to attach the image/s to.

  3. Auto-Assign Feature: Click Magic Auto-Assign, which automatically matches photos to structures based on geolocation data stored in the image. Ensure location services are enabled on your phone or camera when taking photos for this feature to work. Article showing how to enable Geotagging on a device.

Tracking Assigned Photos

Once a photo is assigned to a structure, its name will automatically update in the gallery for easier tracking.

Naming format:
Structure X - Y

  • X = The structure number the image is assigned to.

  • Y = The image number within that structure.

📌 Example:

  • Structure 1 - 2 → The image is assigned to Structure 1 and is the second image attached to it.

This system helps you efficiently manage and organize images within your reports.

Assigning Photos & Additional Tips

  • If you need to add extra photos that don’t directly correspond to an existing mapped structure (e.g., a cropping field or livestock area):

    1. Create a manual structure by clicking the add (+) Structure Button, then using the place structure button to place a marker on the map to represent the location.

    2. Upload and assign photos the same way as other structures.

This allows you to document additional points of interest within your reports accurately.

By using these tools, you can efficiently upload, organize, and manage photos within reports, ensuring comprehensive and well-documented data for analysis.
